Although Blackpool suffered yet another defeat in the ongoing season the other day when they got beaten by 1-2 by Bolton Wanderers in the third round of the FA Cup but, their manager Paul Ince reckons that there are plenty of positives to take out for his side from that game.

Blackpool’s performance in the 2013-14 Season has been way too disappointing till now and after their defeat in the Championship game against Brighton & Hove Albion a couple of weeks back, their fans had booed them.

However, the reaction of the Blackpool fans was entirely different at the end of the game against Bolton. They stood and clapped for their team despite the defeat and that’s because their team had actually fought till the very last minute in that game.

The fans’ reaction after the last weekend’s FA Cup game made Ince happy. Talking to the reporters yesterday, the Blackpool boss said, “We hadn’t got such type of reaction from the supporters since a while. So, it really felt good. They gave us a standing ovation and that really would have boosted the confidence of the boys.”

“Yes, we haven’t won any game in the last few weeks, but, we need to ensure that we stay positive. When you get into a negative mindset, things just keep going downhill.”
“We are going to take on Middlesbrough next week and we will have to play well as a unit in that game.”

The last time that Blackpool had won a match was on 30th of November against Sheffield Wednesday. Since then, they have played 8 matches and have lost 7 of them. The remaining one match was a draw.

The Seasiders are presently at the 12th position in the Championship points table.
